Long Arc Athletics is a community-based initiative addressing structural gaps in youth sports systems, with a focus on young athletes mental health, equity, and love of the game. Originating in Victoria, BC, the project is intended to support youth, families, coaches, and organizations with development-informed guidance that prioritizes belonging, creativity, and long-term outcomes over early selection and short-term performance.

Hi, I am Jeramie.
I am a mom of four athletic children, ages 11 to 20, and I work with parents, teams, and organizations who want to navigate youth sports—specifically soccer—thoughtfully and calmly, without panic, hype, or unnecessary pressure.
Long Arc Athletics began with Soccer Sundays, a guided free-play project designed to support long-term development. My hope is to grow this into a broader free-play game network model, while also offering personal guidance to families navigating an increasingly complex youth soccer landscape.
I support families who want clarity—helping them understand what actually matters at different stages of growth, and what can wait. I specialize in working with high-potential, sensitive, creative, or early-identified players, and just as importantly, with their parents, who are often trying to make good decisions in a system that rewards urgency.
I offer support that is grounded in research, lived experience, and practical understanding of today’s soccer pathways.
I provide:
-
Strategic advising for parents making pathway and program decisions
-
Consultation with teams and coaches on development-first environments
-
Program and pathway assessment for clubs and community initiatives
-
Education on selection timing, relative age effects, burnout, and retention
-
Support for families seeking alignment rather than acceleration
I work selectively, by referral or application, and primarily with families and organizations who value belonging, creativity, and long-term outcomes over short-term results.
Based in Victoria, BC.
